Nadine Sterling, Ph.D.

Nadine Sterling is a Biology teaching professor at Portland State University. She received her B.S. in Microbiology and M.S. in Biology at California State University, Los Angeles. She later earned her Ph.D. from California State University, Santa Barbara in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology where she studied underwater adhesion and completed a postdoc at Stanford University studying exosome biology related to preeclamptic patients. Nadine participated in track and field and cross country in her youth and was an avid runner for many years. She is a mom of 5 and found her way to CrossFit in 2018 after going to several commercial gyms without results. She has been vegan for over 12 years and is excited to share recipes and or help clients incorporate more plants into their diet. 

Antonio Sterling

Antonio started functional fitness and weightlifting in 2018 as a freshman in high school. He fell in love with the sport and took personal weightlifting and powerlifting sessions to improve his lifting technique. Antonio is well traveled having attended 4 high schools in 4 different states (Utah, California, Oregon and North Dakota). During that time he visited many boxes and took bits of knowledge from each box with him. Antonio is passionate about fitness & weight lifting and is eager to help people improve their technique and overall movements. Anotonio is also a plant based athlete alongside his mother Nadine Sterling.
